Task Master allows project managers to use SharePoint to create project schedules for their projects, assign resources, track dependencies between tasks, view critical paths, and more. Need to exclude weekends and holidays from your schedule? Task Master allows you to do that too. What if you already created a plan and you realize later that you need to adjust your schedule to exclude the holidays? Task Master will adjust the dates for you post-schedule to take the holidays into account. This is the highlighted feature for this release. You can see other enhancements here.

Let me show you how the new feature works:

1. T1 with 11/15/2013 – 11/28/2013, with duration as 10d and work as 80h:

2. Add Holidays list with the holiday of 11/15/2013:

3. After recalculating, Task Master pushes the date out:
11/18/2013 – 11/29/2013; duration and work stay the same.

This part is important. If you have the constraint date to Must Start On 11/15/2013, the start date will stay as 11/15/2013, but the Due Date will not change, and the duration and workstay the same (i.e., the duration doesn’t change to 11d, and work doesn’t change to 88h.). The reason is that 11/15/2013 is a non-working day.
