It is my pleasure to once again announce the release of PM Central 4.2; the latest version is now available for both SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013, and contains a number of features which have frequently been requested by our customers.
Here's what's new in version 4.2:
- Filter the search results further, using the column headers via List Search Simple Web Part.
- Change the date, duration, and project schedule of an existing schedule if you want to exclude holidays from the project schedule and task items via Task Master Web Part.
- And last, via Bamboo Navigators, change the heading of the reports from multiple tabs to drop-down mega menus - You told us that there are so many reports and so many tabs under the Report Center and the Resource Center, and that drop-down menus would simplify the interface. Note: You can switch it back to tabs if you don't like the mega menus! Just change the skin!
Applying drop-down mega menus is quite simple:
From the portfolio site's Control Panel, select Change skin:
Select one of the two skins with the mega-menus and click Apply:
The Report Center will change immediately from tabs like this:
To the drop-down mega menu like this:
And the Resource Center will change immediately from the tabs like this:
To the drop-down mega menu like this:
Don't like what you see? Just go into the Control Panel and change the skin back to the original.
