Joining other recently released self-service IT products from Bamboo, the Password Expiration and User Account Setup Web Parts are now available for SharePoint 2013.
With the Password Expiration Web Part, administrators have multiple ways to remind users of the impending expiration of their passwords. When a user visits a page containing the Web Part, they see a message that tells them how many days they have left until their password expires. When used with Bamboo's Password Change Web Part, users can click a link in the reminder to update their password right from SharePoint. Alternatively, or in addition to the displayed message, administrators can configure reminder emails to be send when a password is expiring soon.
User Account Setup Web Part takes delegation a step further, by letting administrators give specific users (such as site administrators) the ability to create new user Active Directory, NT Directory, or SQL Membership Provider accounts based on configurable parameters. Accounts can even be automatically associated with SharePoint groups or Active Directory Security Groups.
